Triangle Research Labs is a proud provider of GenoMembrane ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) Transporter Membranes and Vesicles. These products are prepared from insect Sf9 cells expressing various ABC transporters. We also provide ready-to-use kits containing all reagents needed for the ATPase assay using ABC transporter membranes and the vesicular transport (VT) assay using ABC transporter vesicles. These assays are useful to clarify the interactions between a compound of interest and ABC transporters.

ABC Transporter Membranes and Vesicles
Each vial of ABC transporter membranes and vesicles is 2.5mg/0.5mL. One vial can perform 125 ATPase assays or 50 vesicular transport assays. For the ATPase assay, we recommend using the control (catalog number GM0003) in addition to the membranes containing the transporter of interest because ABC tranporter membranes may contain a trace amount of endogenous sensitive ATPase originating from the Sf9 cells. For the Vesicular Transport Assay, we recommend using the control (catalog number GM0003) as a negative control because of basal transport activity of the Sf9 cell membrane and nonspecific adsorption of the labeled and non-labeled compound, depending on the substrate used.
